The Brushguard Dupe

When it comes to natural brushes they tend to splay as you use them. They lose their shape so that it gets harder to use them. When you use brushguards they hold brushes' shape tight, your brushes can get back to its' normal shape. You can buy them from their website www.thebrushguard.com. One set costs $5.50. It's not a lot of money but when you have quite a lot of brushes the price really adds up.

So I use the brushguard dupe I bought from ebay. It comes with 3 different sizes(large, medium, small) and includes 15 brushguards in total per one set. They're from $2.28~$2.59 price range. Shipping was quite slow. It took me like a month to get them. Some brushguards were dirty. There was dirty stain on some of them, but you can always wash them with soap. Considering price, I don't think it's a big deal.

Here are some of my brushes wearing brushguards. I find the brushguard dupe works great with powder, blush and eye blending brushes, but they are too loose for smaller eye brushes. Maybe the original brushguard is tighter? I'm thinking of purchasing their eye brush brushguard set.

You could dry your brushes inside the cup like this picture. Drying brushes this way makes water to drip down better. Since your brush is wearing brushguard brisles are not gonna touch the ground.

However, I don't recommend drying your eye blending brush this way. Eye brushes are a lot smaller and shorter, some bristles get stuck in the hole of the brushguard when you dry your brush upside down. When you remove brushguard after your brush dries, your eye blending brush looks like it just got thunder attack.
