My make up pet peeves.

Straight eyebrows

I just don't find straight eyebrows pretty. They seem undone, unprofessional and unsophiticated. Whether your eyebrows are thin or full, I think arched eyebrows look so much more feminine, professional and sophisticated.

Way too light foundation.

Ms. Rumiko who workd as a make up artist in NY saw many Japanese women with too light foundation, thought she needed to change that. That's how the make up brand RMK started.

I just find unmatched face and neck really unbalanced and unnatural. Many women would like to have slimmer face and they put light foundation on, which will make their face look more flat and bigger. For me, that doesn't really make any sense.

Gradient lips

The model herself has full lips so she can still pull it off. I have small lips, if I had gradient lips, I would look like I don't even have any mouth. Personally I just don't find the look pretty.

 

 

Too much shimmery eyeshadows

 

 

This is a model Charlotte Kemp Muhl. I like both looks. She looks gorgeous either way. You can definitely see her eyelids look chubbier and puffier on left picture compared to right picture. Shimmer reflects light,  it makes something look bigger, chubbier, puffier. If you have puffy eyes, your eyes are going to look puffier with more shimmer.


Rubbing eyelids really hard is one of my worst habits. I got wrinkles from it and shimmery eyeshadows make them more noticeable.
Using too much shimmer on your eyelids also makes your eye make up unnatural. I find it looks so much better using with matte eyeshadows to even it out.
